Grade 1-winning trainer Eric Kruljac has been suspended for 15 days, reports drf.com, after one of his trainees was found to have elevated levels of carbon dioxide in its system after a February race at Santa Anita.

Kruljac was also fined $3,000, and his original 30-day suspension was cut to 15 days provided he has no further medication violations in the next year.

Fortune of War finished seventh in the third race on February 10 at Santa Anita. The permitted level of total carbon dioxide is 37 millimoles per liter; the tests on Fortune of War returned a level of 40.8 millimoles.
