The disciplinary panel of the British Horseracing Authority will hold an inquiry on Thursday into the urine sample produced by Godolphin’s Sky Hunter following his victory in the Doonside Cup at Ayr on September 20.

A sample taken from the Saeed bin Suroor-trained Sky Hunter was found to contain omeprazole, which is used to prevent and treat gastric ulceration in horses and is a prohibited substance on a raceday.

The panel will also discuss whether to take action in respect of the disqualification of Sky Hunter.
