As of May 1, 2016, new Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency (CPMA) testing guidelines are being applied to the analysis of Equine Canada (EC) equine samples by the official laboratory (Maxxam).

The new guidelines can be found HERE.

Until August 1, 2016, in recognition of the need to allow for the best compliance and understanding of the new standards, warnings will be issued to any person responsible (PR) for a sample testing positive under the new rules that would have been negative under the old 2011 guidelines. Normal infraction adjudication protocol will occur after August 1, 2016.
